Bali's Biggest Beach Clean Up

Bali's Biggest Beach Clean Up

On Saturday, 16th February, over 20,000 people in over 120 locations, lined Bali's beaches to collect trash. An annual initiative led by One Island One Voice to address Bali's state of emergency against pollution.

We joined forces with Liina Klauss and a handful of legends to clean up Mengenin Beach in Seseh. During that one morning on one single beach, 3250 single shoes were collected. Using the lost soles, Liina Klauss created this River Of Rubbish.

A confronting image that conveys the message that land-based trash sources make up 80% of the world’s marine pollution which means almost all plastics come down the river.

A big thank you to everyone who joined in for Bali's Biggest Clean Up.
